Start a workflow from any employee field

In Account settings → Employee fields, open a field's ⋯ menu and pick Create workflow. It opens a draft that runs whenever that field changes, so you only add the steps. Date fields like Start Date can also run on the date itself, which suits birthdays, anniversaries and probation reminders.
